Every July, Mike’s proudly sponsors the Needlework Exhibition of the Caboolture show, and Corey and I are delighted to be judging some categories of the entries. We see some impressive sewing creations of all sorts of sizes. I personally love watching Corey discover all sorts of new techniques as we view the entries, and for me – I find myself feeling inspired to dust-off some unfinished projects in the sewing room.
A big shout out to Betty Godwin, as the event Steward, and her team of volunteers who put in an enormous amount of effort to pull this together every year, and we’re looking forward to being involved again in 2024.
If you have a fabulous thing that you’ve sewn, or machine embroidered that is just sitting folded up in your cupboard, I highly recommend entering it into the Caboolture Show in 2024. There is something pretty satisfying about seeing your work up on display, and honestly, when was the last time you wont a satin ribbon that declares “First Prize”?
